The sneaker is composed of a rubber sole and a canvas upper. They were designed as athletic shoes for basketball players. In the 1920s, thanks to the remarks and promotions of Charles Taylor, a basketball player and seller at the Converse company, they became popular. Due to his tremendous performance in brand promotion and design improvements, his name was added to the emblem. Thus was born the “Chuck Taylor” All Star sneaker, worn by many professional basketball players. Over the years, the Converse Chuck Taylor All Stars have made the transition from athletic to everyday footwear.
